The importance of instilling the concept of...
If your students have an appetite for knowledge, this month's theme will hit the spot! On The Table provides all new activities, games, rhymes, emergent readers, and literacy lessons that highlight foods of the harvest season and the Thanskgiving holiday. The month begins with The Little Red Hen harvesting her grain and baking bread, and it ends with gratitude for all that the earth provides. Each week introduces a new book. Along with a bounty of learning materials for The Little Red Hen, there are supplementary ideas and lessons to go with Corn is Maize by Aliki, The Beastly Feast by Bruce Goldstone, and Thanks for Thanksgiving by Julie Markes. In addition, there are materials for reviewing the colors and shapes focused on in previous months as well as a new set of sight words. Keep reading to feast your eyes on a theme laden with all shapes, sizes, and shades of learning fun.
