Animals
Under the Sea and Ocean Creatures. This month’s KidsSoup theme focuses on ocean animals and includes preschool and kindergarten activities, games, and crafts designed to strengthen comprehension and concept development in all subject areas while learning about the ocean and the animals that make it their home.
Healthy smiles and happy hearts provide the subject matter for this month's preschool and kindergarten theme. Preschool and Kindergarten activities, games, and crafts provide enriching experiences for children that extend concepts in the books Brush Your Teeth Please! by Leslie Mcguire and My Heart is Like a Zoo by Michael Hall.
Brush Your Teeth Please! is a pop-up book about brushing and flossing. If the animals showcased inside can brush every day in every way, surely children can too. We’ve put together some activities to help children learn more about the best ways to brush and floss and to build the fine motor skills needed.
The Little Red Hen, grains, and bread are this week's On The Table focus. Related materials are provided in all subject areas. The week's letter is "H" and the short e vowel sound and -en word family are introduced.
This week's letter is D for Dinosaurs and Digging! Now that children are settled into their school routines and comfortable with each other, it's time to turn their attention to all things dinosaur. The KidsSoup.com library has so many dinosaur games, ideas, and activities that it's hard to decide which ones to dig up first.
Beginning a new school year means making new friends and seeing old friends again. While children are busy learning classroom routines, they're also practicing and developing social skills. For this reason, the focus of week 3 of the Back to School with Dinosaurs theme is friendship.
Many of the resources included in the Back-to-School with Dinosaurs theme are designed to help children learn and remember school rules and manners in fun, interactive ways. Children will love chanting the “Rowdy-osaur Goes to School” felt rhyme and teachers will love the printable list of child-friendly classroom rules that accompanies it.
Start the school year off with a roar, a dinosaur roar that is! This month's theme celebrates going back to school with dinosaurs. Children will learn about school manners and how to be a good friend with the help of dinosaurs. It includes school bus and dinosaur name tags, parent newsletter templates, literacy activities, craft ideas, rhyming and number games, emergent readers, and more.
