What you need:

Jingle bells

Red and green pipe cleaner

What you do:

1. String jingle bell on to a red and green pipe cleaner.

2. Place the pipe cleaners on top of each other and twist together. (Ask children to hold one end of the pipe cleaners while you twist one pipe cleaner around the other.

Music and Movement Circle Time Activity

Cut a 4-yard length of rope, Christmas ribbon, or thick yarn and attach 10 or more jingle bells. Tie the ends to make one large loop. Children stand in a circle. Place the jingle bell rope in the middle of the circle and let children hold on to the rope. Sing the song while moving and shaking the jingle bells. Here, children took the game one step further and set up chairs to make an imaginary sleigh, shaking the rope strung with bells from their seats.
